There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per unit), while Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Spain (X units) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a 7.2% share, followed by Germany (7%), Lithuania (7%), Bulgaria (6.7%), Romania (6.6%), Italy (5.8%) and Slovakia (5.7%). Croatia, with a CAGR of +10.2%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2022, rising by 23% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.3%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per unit), while Slovakia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
