By contrast, Italy (-1.5%), Germany (-4.8%), Belgium (-9.6%) and Spain (-11.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The Netherlands (+19 p.p.), Romania (+3.4 p.p.) and Italy (+2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Spain and Belgium saw its share reduced by -5% and -17.8% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest concentrated orange juice supplying countries in the European Union were the Netherlands ($X), Belgium ($X) and Italy ($X), together accounting for 88% of total exports. Spain, Greece, Germany and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 8.3%.
