In 2021, the amount of concrete pumps exported in the European Union amounted to X units, almost unchanged from the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a perceptible descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by 21%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, concrete pump exports surged to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, showed a mild reduction. The level of export peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Italy prevails in exports structure, resulting at X units, which was approx. 61% of total exports in 2021. Germany (X units) held a 9.2% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by the Netherlands (7.9%) and Poland (5.9%). France (X units), Belgium (X units) and Sweden (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from Italy decreased at an average annual rate of -3.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Poland (+26.3%), France (+6.4%) and Belgium (+4.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +26.3% from 2012-2021. By contrast, the Netherlands (-9.7%), Germany (-10.8%) and Sweden (-12.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Poland (+5.5 p.p.), Italy (+5.1 p.p.), France (+2.4 p.p.) and Belgium (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Sweden (-2.9 p.p.), the Netherlands (-4.8 p.p.) and Germany (-7.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest concrete pump supplier in the European Union, comprising 56% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 26% share of total exports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 2.6% share.
In Germany, concrete pump exports increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (-3.5% per year) and the Netherlands (-3.7% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 26% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.0%. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Sweden ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+14.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in the EU
Concrete pump imports skyrocketed to X units in 2021, rising by 21% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports posted a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 144% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, concrete pump imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 32%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
In 2021, France (X units), Belgium (X units), Italy (X units), the Netherlands (X units), Slovakia (X units), Romania (X units), Poland (X units), Sweden (X units), Spain (X units), Germany (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and Greece (X units) represented the key importer of concrete pumps in the European Union, committing 92% of total import.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Slovakia (with a CAGR of +29.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest concrete pump importing markets in the European Union were Germany ($X), France ($X) and the Netherlands ($X), together accounting for 55% of total imports. These countries were followed by Belgium, Spain, Romania, Poland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia and Greece, which together accounted for a further 26%.
Among the main importing countries, Slovakia, with a CAGR of +24.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, approximately mirroring the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a mild increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 407%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2017 to 2021, the import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Slovakia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+20.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
