Moreover, Luxembourg emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +31.3% from 2012-2022. Spain and Belgium experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Germany (-1.7%), Denmark (-2.3%), Sweden (-11.9%) and Italy (-22.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The Netherlands (+29 p.p.), France (+3.1 p.p.), Poland (+3.1 p.p.), Luxembourg (+3 p.p.), Greece (+2.6 p.p.) and Estonia (+2.5 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Germany, Sweden and Italy saw its share reduced by -3.6%, -11% and -21.6% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) remains the largest hand-operated drilling, threading or tapping tool supplier in the European Union, comprising 35% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by Spain, with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in the Netherlands amounted to +29.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Germany (-3.4% per year) and Spain (+7.4% per year).
