The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when exports increased by 42% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
In value terms, electric heating radiator exports soared to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a mild increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +46.0% against 2019 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Lithuania dominates exports structure, recording X units, which was approx. 68% of total exports in 2021. Germany (X units) held a 6.9% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Spain (5.5%). The following exporters - the Netherlands (X units), Greece (X units), Sweden (X units) and Belgium (X units) - together made up 11% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to electric heating radiator exports from Lithuania stood at +12.2%. At the same time, Belgium (+27.0%), Greece (+20.4%), the Netherlands (+18.5%) and Spain (+6.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belgium emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +27.0% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Germany (-4.0%) and Sweden (-4.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Lithuania (+20 p.p.), the Netherlands (+2.1 p.p.) and Belgium (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Sweden and Germany saw its share reduced by -4.4% and -12.9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest electric heating radiator supplying countries in the European Union were Lithuania ($X), Germany ($X) and Spain ($X), with a combined 68% share of total exports. Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece and Sweden lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 17%.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Belgium, with a CAGR of +39.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, rising by 10% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt contraction. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per unit), while Lithuania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+9.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in the EU
In 2021, imports of electric storage heating radiators in the European Union expanded remarkably to X units, with an increase of 15% compared with 2020. Total imports indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +11.5% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 51%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Total imports indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +44.8% against 2014 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 30% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
France was the key importing country with an import of around X units, which accounted for 35% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Sweden (X units), Portugal (X units), Slovakia (X units), Germany (X units), the Netherlands (X units) and Belgium (X units), together committing a 38% share of total imports. The following importers - Lithuania (X units), Greece (X units), Spain (X units), Bulgaria (X units), Italy (X units) and Austria (X units) - together made up 17% of total imports.
Imports into France increased at an average annual rate of +21.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Slovakia (+60.4%), Lithuania (+39.3%), Portugal (+19.5%), Germany (+13.0%), Belgium (+10.6%), Italy (+6.3%), the Netherlands (+6.3%) and Spain (+3.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Slovakia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +60.4% from 2012-2021. Greece experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Bulgaria (-2.1%), Sweden (-4.9%) and Austria (-8.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of France (+24 p.p.), Slovakia (+6.2 p.p.), Portugal (+4.3 p.p.), Lithuania (+4 p.p.) and Germany (+2.3 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Bulgaria (-2.7 p.p.), Greece (-3.7 p.p.), Austria (-6.3 p.p.) and Sweden (-15.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, France ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported electric storage heating radiators in the European Union, comprising 27% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in France totaled +15.0%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+14.7% per year) and the Netherlands (+20.4% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2021, increasing by 5.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded mild growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 8.9%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Italy ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
