At the same time, Romania (+153.7%), Hungary (+62.7%), Poland (+60.8%), the Czech Republic (+32.9%), France (+9.2%) and Italy (+2.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest gas and smoke analyser supplier in the European Union, comprising 50% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 10% share of total exports. It was followed by Poland, with a 9.9% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Germany stood at +5.9%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Czech Republic (+44.6% per year) and Poland (+61.2% per year).

In 2021, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, surging by 1.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the export price increased by 21%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+8.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, overseas purchases of gas and smoke analysers were finally on the rise to reach X units after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a prominent expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, gas and smoke analyser imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 32% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
