The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, solid fuel furnace burner exports fell to $X in 2021. In general, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when exports increased by 22%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2020, and then fell in the following year.

Exports by Country

Italy (X tons) and Germany (X tons) prevails in exports structure, together committing 70% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Romania (X tons), comprising a 7.4% share of total exports. The Netherlands (X tons), Poland (X tons), Belgium (X tons), France (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Austria (X tons) held a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Romania (with a CAGR of +14.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and the Netherlands ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together accounting for 81% of total exports. Romania, with a CAGR of +8.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -13.7% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 24% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then reduced in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in supplies from abroad of furnace burners for solid fuel or gas, when their volume increased by 36% to X tons. Overall, imports enjoyed a resilient expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, solid fuel furnace burner imports totaled $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. These countries were followed by Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland, which together accounted for a further 29%.
