While the share of the Netherlands (+4.8 p.p.), Sweden (+4.6 p.p.), France (+4.6 p.p.), Austria (+4.5 p.p.) and Malta (+3.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Poland (-10.2 p.p.) and Germany (-14.5 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest monumental stone granules and powder importing markets in the European Union were Germany ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and France ($X), together comprising 60% of total imports. Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Malta, Slovenia and Luxembourg lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 29%.

Malta, with a CAGR of +77.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
