These countries were followed by Austria, Croatia, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Romania, Sweden and Slovakia, which together accounted for a further 40%.
Croatia, with a CAGR of +30.7%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, growing by 11% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.4%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+15.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The following importers - Austria (X tons), Lithuania (X tons), Hungary (X tons), Croatia (X tons) and Estonia (X tons) - together made up 14% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +26.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the Netherlands ($X), Germany ($X) and France ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 49% share of total imports. Belgium, Poland, Austria, Denmark, Luxembourg, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania and Croatia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 36%.
Hungary, with a CAGR of +10.7%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 9.3% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.2%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
