Exports from France increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Romania (+96.1%), Ireland (+50.0%), Denmark (+25.7%), Poland (+6.9%) and Slovakia (+6.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +96.1% from 2012-2021. The Netherlands and Sweden experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Spain (-9.3%), Germany (-10.8%), Italy (-21.1%) and Belgium (-24.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. France (+30 p.p.), Ireland (+6.5 p.p.), the Netherlands (+3.5 p.p.), Slovakia (+2.7 p.p.), Poland (+2.3 p.p.) and Romania (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Italy and Belgium saw its share reduced by -14.1% and -36.4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, France ($X) remains the largest pharmaceutical rubber articles supplier in the European Union, comprising 46% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Ireland ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 9.3% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in France stood at +4.6%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Ireland (+45.6% per year) and Germany (-12.6% per year).

In 2021, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, growing by 87% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 116%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per unit), while Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
