In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest test and measurement supplier in the European Union, comprising 61% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by France ($X), with an 8.2% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a 4.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Germany stood at +4.6%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+2.9% per year) and Italy (+6.0% per year).

In 2021, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -5.3% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 15%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit, and then contracted in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+15.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas purchases of instruments and apparatus for measuring or checking pressure of liquids or gasses, when their volume increased by 17% to X units. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Spain (X units), the Netherlands (X units), Hungary (X units), Belgium (X units), Slovakia (X units), Romania (X units) and Austria (X units) held a minor share of total imports.
