At the same time, Romania (+23.7%), Belgium (+17.0%), Spain (+7.1%), Hungary (+6.0%), Austria (+5.6%), France (+3.0%), the Czech Republic (+2.8%) and Poland (+2.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +23.7% from 2012-2022. Italy experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Belgium (+5.3 p.p.), Germany (+4.4 p.p.) and Romania (+2.4 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the Czech Republic and Italy saw its share reduced by -1.6% and -1.7% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest electrical insulating fittings supplier in the European Union, comprising 41% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 19% share of total exports. It was followed by Hungary, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany stood at +6.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Czech Republic (+10.7% per year) and Hungary (+8.4% per year).

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then contracted modestly in the following year.
