The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +12.5%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2021, declining by -77.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price faced a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 90% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+3.2%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

In 2021, the amount of knitting machineses imported in the European Union soared to X units, with an increase of 46% against 2020. Overall, imports posted resilient growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
