Germany (X units) and Spain (X units) were the main importers of lasers, other than laser diodes in 2021, recording approx. 27% and 19% of total imports, respectively. Italy (X units) took the next position in the ranking, followed by the Netherlands (X units), Belgium (X units) and France (X units). All these countries together took near 37% share of total imports. The following importers - Poland (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) - each finished at a 6.1% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of +32.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The second position in the ranking was taken by the Netherlands ($X), with a 23% share of total imports. It was followed by Italy, with a 7.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany stood at +9.7%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (+9.9% per year) and Italy (+8.2% per year).
