In 2022, the EU mannequin market increased by 76% to $X, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. The total consumption indicated mild growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% over the last decade. The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2022, surging by 2.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the export price increased by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($X per ton), while Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Spain, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Croatia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 36%.

In terms of the main importing countries, Romania, with a CAGR of +11.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 5.5% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the import price increased by 13% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
