By contrast, Austria (-3.1%), Belgium (-3.4%), the Netherlands (-5.3%) and Italy (-5.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Romania (+6.7 p.p.), Spain (+5.6 p.p.), Germany (+5.3 p.p.) and Portugal (+2.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Denmark (-2.3 p.p.), the Netherlands (-3 p.p.), Belgium (-3.1 p.p.), Italy (-5.9 p.p.) and Poland (-8.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest mattresses of cellular rubber or plastics supplier in the European Union, comprising 28% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Denmark ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany, with an 11% share.
