The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -27.9% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by 48%. The volume of export peaked at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, non-electric bakery oven exports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a slight setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 22%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Spain (X units) and Italy (X units) were the main exporters of non-electric bakery ovens in 2022, accounting for near 35% and 26% of total exports, respectively. Germany (X units) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a 9% share, followed by Denmark (6.7%) and Slovenia (5.4%). The Czech Republic (X units) and Sweden (X units) held a little share of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports recorded prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 129% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, non-electric bakery oven imports contracted markedly to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +45.5% against 2020 indices. Spain was also the fastest-growing in terms of the non-electric bakery ovens imports, with a CAGR of +40.7% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Greece (+38.4%), Slovakia (+14.4%), Portugal (+13.6%), Austria (+9.5%) and Italy (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Poland, Romania and Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, France (-1.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, the largest non-electric bakery oven importing markets in the European Union were Spain ($X), Slovakia ($X) and Poland ($X), with a combined 44% share of total imports. Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Romania, Austria and Portugal lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 34%.

Greece, with a CAGR of +18.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -37.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the import price increased by 16% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
