Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +42.8% from 2012-2022. While the share of Spain (+21 p.p.), Finland (+14 p.p.) and the Netherlands (+12 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Italy (-10 p.p.) and Germany (-18.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Italy ($X), Germany ($X) and Spain ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 41% share of total exports. The Netherlands, France, the Czech Republic and Finland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 44%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, the Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +18.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -23.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the export price increased by 5.7%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (-1.6%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.
