The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 3.9% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.4%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the export price increased by 21%. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+10.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the amount of parachutes and rotochutes imported in the European Union rose sharply to X tons, picking up by 11% compared with 2020. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep slump. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, the largest parachute importing markets in the European Union were France ($X), Germany ($X) and Austria ($X), with a combined 64% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Romania, which together accounted for a further 23%.
The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +13.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 11% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +5.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 20%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
