In terms of the main importing countries, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +40.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2021, shrinking by -52.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 24%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
