The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 52% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Sweden ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (-2.4%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

For the third year in a row, the European Union recorded growth in purchases abroad of pile-drivers and pile-extractors, which increased by 200% to X units in 2021. In general, imports saw a significant increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, pile-driver imports soared to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Belgium was the key importer of pile-drivers and pile-extractors in the European Union, with the volume of imports reaching X units, which was near 61% of total imports in 2021. The Netherlands (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 16% share, followed by France (6.7%). The following importers - Spain (X units), Germany (X units) and Austria (X units) - each resulted at an 8.7% share of total imports.

Belgium was also the fastest-growing in terms of the pile-drivers and pile-extractors imports, with a CAGR of +93.5% from 2012 to 2021. In value terms, the largest pile-driver importing markets in the European Union were the Netherlands ($X), France ($X) and Germany ($X), with a combined 51% share of total imports. Austria, Belgium and Spain lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 14%.

Among the main importing countries, Spain, with a CAGR of +57.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, which is down by -57.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price faced a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the import price increased by 160% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2015 to 2021, the import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Belgium ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
