Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per unit), while Italy ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+3.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the amount of poultry-keeping machinery imported in the European Union shrank to X units, falling by -13.3% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 23%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, poultry-keeping machinery imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 32% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

France (X units) and the Netherlands (X units) represented roughly 38% of total imports in 2022. Spain (X units) held the next position in the ranking, followed by Poland (X units), Italy (X units) and Belgium (X units). All these countries together held approx. 36% share of total imports. The following importers - Romania (X units), Hungary (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Austria (X units), Portugal (X units), Lithuania (X units) and Germany (X units) - together made up 18% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Lithuania (with a CAGR of +17.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, France ($X), Italy ($X) and Spain ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for 42% of total imports. The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 49%.
Among the main importing countries, Lithuania, with a CAGR of +14.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2022, falling by -4.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the import price increased by 8.4%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
