In value terms, pump for liquid production reduced to $X in 2021 estimated in export price. Overall, production recorded a mild reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the production volume increased by 10%. The level of production peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, production failed to regain momentum.

Exports in the EU
Pump for liquid exports surged to X units in 2021, increasing by 24% compared with the previous year. Total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +67.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 35%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, pump for liquid exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
In 2021, Germany (X units) was the main exporter of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, generating 37% of total exports. Italy (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by France (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Hungary (X units) and Spain (X units). All these countries together held approx. 43% share of total exports. The Netherlands (X units), Romania (X units), Poland (X units), Belgium (X units), Austria (X units) and Denmark (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators. At the same time, Romania (+33.4%), the Netherlands (+27.1%), Hungary (+26.8%), Poland (+16.5%), Spain (+12.9%), Belgium (+12.5%), Denmark (+12.5%), France (+9.4%), Italy (+9.3%) and the Czech Republic (+9.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +33.4% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Austria (-2.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Hungary (+5 p.p.), Italy (+3.9 p.p.), the Netherlands (+3.4 p.p.), Romania (+3.4 p.p.), France (+2.3 p.p.), Spain (+2.1 p.p.), the Czech Republic (+1.6 p.p.) and Poland (+1.5 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Austria and Germany saw its share reduced by -2.3% and -22.6% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest pump for liquid supplier in the European Union, comprising 37% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 15% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with an 8.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Germany amounted to +1.2%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Italy (+2.0% per year) and the Czech Republic (+4.1% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2021, falling by -7.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the export price increased by 15% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2016 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+1.1%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in the EU
For the sixth consecutive year, the European Union recorded growth in supplies from abroad of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, which increased by 6.7% to X units in 2021. In general, imports showed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 27%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, pump for liquid imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Germany (X units), distantly followed by Hungary (X units), France (X units), Poland (X units), Belgium (X units), Italy (X units), Spain (X units) and Austria (X units) represented the key importers of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, together committing 79% of total imports. The following importers - the Netherlands (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Sweden (X units) and Romania (X units) - together made up 13% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to pump for liquid imports into Germany stood at +3.3%. At the same time, Hungary (+28.2%), the Netherlands (+21.3%), Romania (+17.0%), Belgium (+16.8%), Sweden (+13.6%), Spain (+12.9%), Poland (+11.1%), the Czech Republic (+10.2%), France (+6.5%), Austria (+5.4%) and Italy (+5.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +28.2% from 2012-2021. While the share of Hungary (+9.2 p.p.), Belgium (+3.1 p.p.), the Netherlands (+2.8 p.p.) and Spain (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Austria (-1.5 p.p.), France (-1.9 p.p.), Italy (-2.1 p.p.) and Germany (-14.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Germany ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported pumps for liquids and liquid elevators in the European Union, comprising 24% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by France ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with an 8.7% share.
In Germany, pump for liquid imports increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (+0.2% per year) and the Netherlands (+10.8% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 9.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a noticeable setback. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
