In value terms, textile rubber hose exports rose notably to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Germany (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the major exporters of rubber hose reinforced with textiles in 2021, accounting for approx. 21% and 19% of total exports, respectively. Italy (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total exports with an 11% share, followed by Spain (8.2%), Austria (6.9%), Poland (6.3%), France (6.2%) and the Netherlands (5%).
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of +4.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2021, almost unchanged from the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 10%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while Austria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas purchases of rubber hose reinforced with textiles, when their volume increased by 6.2% to X tons. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 7.8%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, textile rubber hose imports rose remarkably to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a mild slump. The level of import peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Germany (X tons), distantly followed by Italy (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Spain (X tons), France (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the major importers of rubber hose reinforced with textiles, together constituting 72% of total imports. Belgium (X tons), Austria (X tons), Hungary (X tons), Romania (X tons), Slovakia (X tons) and Denmark (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to textile rubber hose imports into Germany stood at -2.4%. At the same time, Denmark (+7.2%), Hungary (+4.8%), the Netherlands (+4.5%), Italy (+3.5%), Romania (+3.3%), Poland (+2.9%) and Slovakia (+1.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Denmark emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +7.2% from 2012-2021. The Czech Republic, Belgium and France experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Spain (-2.3%) and Austria (-2.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The Netherlands (+3.1 p.p.) and Italy (+2.8 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Spain and Germany saw its share reduced by -1.6% and -5.7% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
