In 2021, Germany (X units), distantly followed by France (X units), Hungary (X units), Poland (X units), the Netherlands (X units), Italy (X units), Ireland (X units), Spain (X units), Belgium (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) were the main importers of safety or relief valves for pipes, boiler shells, tanks and vats, together making up 80% of total imports. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while Ireland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
