From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Hungary (with a CAGR of +0.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.
In value terms, Germany ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and Italy ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 52% share of total exports. These countries were followed by France, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic, which together accounted for a further 32%.
Poland, with a CAGR of +23.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, rising by 8.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the export price increased by 130%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+38.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2021, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, enjoyed a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the import price increased by 77%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2020, and then reduced slightly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while Slovakia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
