The Netherlands (X tons) held a 13% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by France (9.8%) and Spain (7.7%). Poland (X tons) and Slovenia (X tons) held a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +82.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest titanium supplier in the European Union, comprising 43% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by France, with a 14% share.
In Germany, titanium exports increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Italy (+9.5% per year) and France (+6.8% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 35% against the previous year. Export price indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, titanium export price increased by +68.9% against 2015 indices. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a slight descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 12% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, titanium imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The level of import peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
France (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Germany (X tons) represented roughly 67% of total imports in 2022. The Czech Republic (X tons) held an 8.3% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Estonia (5.9%) and the Netherlands (4.6%). Spain (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +56.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, France ($X), Italy ($X) and Germany ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for 69% of total imports. The Czech Republic, Spain, Estonia and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 15%.
In terms of the main importing countries, the Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +56.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 23% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.2%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while Estonia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (+5.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
