As a result, consumption reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +5.8% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
The shipments of the three major exporters of dolls and toys, namely the Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands, represented more than third of total export. Poland (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a 9.1% share, followed by Belgium (7.8%), Spain (5.8%), Greece (5.8%), Italy (5.6%), France (5.4%) and Hungary (5.4%).
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Poland (with a CAGR of +16.7%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest toy supplying countries in the European Union were the Czech Republic ($X), Germany ($X) and the Netherlands ($X), with a combined 54% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Poland, Belgium, France, Spain, Hungary, Italy and Greece, which together accounted for a further 36%.
Poland, with a CAGR of +24.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2021, remaining stable against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the export price increased by 25%. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Greece ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+6.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country
Germany (X tons), France (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Poland (X tons), Belgium (X tons), Spain (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Romania (X tons) represented roughly 80% of total imports in 2021. The following importers - Hungary (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) - each amounted to a 4.7% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Slovakia (with a CAGR of +15.9%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest toy importing markets in the European Union were Germany ($X), France ($X) and the Netherlands ($X), with a combined 44% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, which together accounted for a further 40%.
Among the main importing countries, Poland, with a CAGR of +14.3%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 5.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 5.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
