Production By Country in the EU

China (X units) remains the largest umbrella producing country in the European Union, accounting for X% of total volume. It was followed by the Czech Republic (X units), with a X% share of total production. Panama (X units) ranked third in terms of total production with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2009, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume in China was relatively modest. The remaining producing countries recorded the following average annual rates of production growth: the Czech Republic (+X% per year) and Panama (-X% per year).

Over the period under review, the import prices for umbrellas attained their maximum at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, import prices failed to regain their momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
