Germany was the major exporter of unvulcanized rubber and articles thereof in the European Union, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was approx. 31% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Italy (X tons), Poland (X tons), France (X tons), Spain (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons), together achieving a 49% share of total exports. The following exporters - Belgium (X tons), Romania (X tons), Austria (X tons), Sweden (X tons), Slovakia (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) - together made up 17% of total exports.

Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of unvulcanized rubber and articles thereof. At the same time, Hungary (+16.8%), Poland (+5.9%), Romania (+4.4%), Slovakia (+3.6%), Spain (+1.9%) and the Czech Republic (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +16.8% from 2012-2022. The Netherlands, Italy, Austria and Sweden experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, France (-1.1%) and Belgium (-6.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Poland and Hungary increased by +4.1 and +1.6 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest unvulcanized rubber supplier in the European Union, comprising 34% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by France, with a 9.7% share.

In Germany, unvulcanized rubber exports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (+0.3% per year) and France (-2.7% per year).

The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2022, rising by 4.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
