The market value increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. As a result, consumption reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The shipments of the three major exporters of dolls and toys, namely the Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands, represented more than third of total export. Poland (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a 9.1% share, followed by Belgium (7.8%), Spain (5.8%), Greece (5.8%), Italy (5.6%), France (5.4%) and Hungary (5.4%).

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Poland (with a CAGR of +16.7%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2021, remaining stable against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the export price increased by 25%. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Greece ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
