France (X units) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a 12% share, followed by Italy (9.9%), Spain (5.9%) and Belgium (5.1%). Austria (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In value terms, France ($X), Germany ($X) and Italy ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 80% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Austria, the Netherlands, Spain and Belgium, which together accounted for a further 9.8%.
The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +7.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, growing by 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the export price increased by 52%. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per unit), while the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+8.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of accordions and mouth organs increased by 4.6% to X units in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 19% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, accordion imports rose rapidly to $X in 2021. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 7%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
The purchases of the eight major importers of accordions and mouth organs, namely the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, France, the UK, Italy, Spain and Belgium, represented more than two-thirds of total import.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +22.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), France ($X) and Portugal ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, together comprising 50% of total imports.
Portugal, with a CAGR of +17.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 1.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the import price increased by 9.4%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2017 to 2021, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per unit), while the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Portugal (+5.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
