In value terms, ABS copolymers exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +86.4% against 2019 indices. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Belgium (X tons), distantly followed by the Netherlands (X tons), Spain (X tons), Germany (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) represented the major exporters of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (abs) copolymers in primary forms, together achieving 87% of total exports. Poland (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +21.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per ton, surging by 46% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Austria ($X per ton) and Romania ($X per ton), while Spain ($X per ton) and Slovenia ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
