The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. As a result, production attained the peak level of $X. From 2021 to 2022, production growth remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Amplifier Exports
Exports in Europe
After two years of growth, overseas shipments of amplifiers decreased by -0.4% to X units in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 28%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units, leveling off in the following year.
In value terms, amplifier exports shrank modestly to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +28.1% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 22% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.
Exports by Country
In 2022, Hungary (X units) and Germany (X units) represented the main exporters of amplifiers in Europe, together finishing at approx. 43% of total exports. Poland (X units) held the next position in the ranking, followed by the Netherlands (X units), the UK (X units) and Slovakia (X units). All these countries together took approx. 31% share of total exports. Belgium (X units), Italy (X units), Romania (X units), France (X units), Spain (X units), Denmark (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Romania (with a CAGR of +47.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest amplifier supplier in Europe, comprising 27% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Hungary ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 7.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany totaled +3.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Hungary (+37.3% per year) and the Netherlands (+6.5% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, almost unchanged from the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a noticeable reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the export price increased by 2.3% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+7.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Europe
In 2022, the amount of amplifiers imported in Europe expanded sharply to X units, picking up by 9.5% compared with the previous year. Total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +26.8% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 24%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, amplifier imports expanded remarkably to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 13%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Germany (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main importers of amplifiers in Europe, together finishing at near 40% of total imports. Spain (X units) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a 12% share, followed by Belgium (7.5%), the Netherlands (5.7%) and Sweden (4.9%). The following importers - France (X units), Italy (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Russia (X units), Hungary (X units) and Austria (X units) - together made up 18% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Germany amounted to +4.0%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the UK (+5.3% per year) and France (+3.0% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, with a decrease of -2.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the import price increased by 15%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per unit), while Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
