In 2022, billiard accessoires exports in Europe reduced to X tons, shrinking by -10.5% against the previous year. Overall, exports showed a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 26% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, billiard accessoires exports plummeted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 32%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
In 2022, the Netherlands (X tons), distantly followed by Belgium (X tons), Spain (X tons), the UK (X tons), France (X tons), Belarus (X tons), Italy (X tons), Germany (X tons), Lithuania (X tons) and Russia (X tons) represented the key exporters of articles and accessories for billiards, together generating 90% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Russia (with a CAGR of +18.7%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Belgium ($X) remains the largest billiard accessoires supplier in Europe, comprising 29% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Netherlands ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by the UK, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Belgium stood at +4.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Netherlands (+6.7% per year) and the UK (-14.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -12.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 19%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+7.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Europe
In 2022, supplies from abroad of articles and accessories for billiards decreased by -18% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, imports recorded a mild setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 24% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2021, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
In value terms, billiard accessoires imports contracted remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 67%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then fell sharply in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, the UK (X tons), distantly followed by France (X tons), Germany (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Italy (X tons) represented the major importers of articles and accessories for billiards, together committing 71% of total imports. Russia (X tons), Belarus (X tons), Belgium (X tons), Spain (X tons), Denmark (X tons), Sweden (X tons) and Ireland (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.
The UK experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of articles and accessories for billiards. At the same time, Poland (+18.5%) and the Netherlands (+1.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Europe, with a CAGR of +18.5% from 2012-2022. France, Germany, Spain and Denmark experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Sweden (-3.1%), Italy (-4.7%), Belgium (-5.0%), Russia (-7.0%), Belarus (-7.4%) and Ireland (-11.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Poland, the UK, the Netherlands and France increased by +6, +4.3, +2.2 and +1.9 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest billiard accessoires importing markets in Europe were Poland ($X), the UK ($X) and Germany ($X), with a combined 52% share of total imports.
Poland, with a CAGR of +44.2%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2022, reducing by -6.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 36%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
