In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest tools for bearing supplier in Europe, comprising 29% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a 12% share.

In 2022, imports of balls, needles and rollers for ball or roller bearings in Europe reduced slightly to X tons, waning by -4.9% against the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 16%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and France ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for 51% of total imports. Slovakia, Romania, Austria, the UK, Poland, Spain, Russia and Estonia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 36%.
Estonia, with a CAGR of +21.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2022, rising by 7.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the import price increased by 8.5%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per ton), while Estonia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
