The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 14%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units, and then contracted in the following year.
In value terms, appliance part brush exports declined to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 24%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then declined in the following year.
Exports by Country
Germany was the major exporting country with an export of around X units, which accounted for 28% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Italy (X units), Poland (X units), the Netherlands (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Estonia (X units) and France (X units), together committing a 44% share of total exports. Belarus (X units), Spain (X units), Denmark (X units), Sweden (X units), Portugal (X units) and Russia (X units) took a minor share of total exports.
Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of exports of brushes constituting parts of appliances. At the same time, Poland (+12.7%), Belarus (+12.4%), Russia (+9.9%), Italy (+7.4%), France (+5.5%), Spain (+4.6%), Estonia (+3.6%), the Netherlands (+2.9%), the Czech Republic (+2.3%), Denmark (+2.2%), Portugal (+1.6%) and Sweden (+1.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +12.7% from 2012-2022. Poland (+5.9 p.p.), Italy (+4.1 p.p.) and Belarus (+2.3 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Germany saw its share reduced by -7.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest appliance part brush supplier in Europe, comprising 43% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 6.9% share.
In Germany, appliance part brush exports expanded at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (+7.2% per year) and the Netherlands (+4.0% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, with an increase of 2.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the export price increased by 11% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+6.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of brushes constituting parts of appliances, when their volume decreased by -13.8% to X units. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 33%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, appliance part brush imports shrank to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.
Imports by Country
Russia (X units) and Germany (X units) represented the major importers of brushes constituting parts of appliances in 2022, recording approx. 21% and 19% of total imports, respectively. France (X units) held a 7.8% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Italy (6.9%) and Poland (5%). The following importers - the Netherlands (X units), Spain (X units), Belarus (X units), the UK (X units), Sweden (X units), Belgium (X units), Austria (X units) and Finland (X units) - together made up 23% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of +14.9%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), Russia ($X) and France ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 40% share of total imports. Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Austria, the UK, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Belarus and Finland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 39%.
Poland, with a CAGR of +13.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 1.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the import price increased by 11%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+6.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
