Poland (X units), Slovenia (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Slovakia increased at an average annual rate of +7.2% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Slovenia (+79.1%) and the Netherlands (+4.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Slovenia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +79.1% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Hungary (-4.8%), Germany (-14.3%), the Czech Republic (-14.4%) and Poland (-20.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Slovakia (+35 p.p.), the Netherlands (+3.1 p.p.) and Slovenia (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of the Czech Republic (-3.2 p.p.), Germany (-14.5 p.p.) and Poland (-20.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest receivers and transmitters case supplying countries in Europe were Germany ($X), Hungary ($X) and the Netherlands ($X), together comprising 52% of total exports. These countries were followed by Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia, which together accounted for a further 16%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Slovenia, with a CAGR of +61.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The export price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, falling by -28.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate notable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Slovakia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+16.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Europe

For the third consecutive year, Europe recorded growth in overseas purchases of cabinets and cases for transmission and reception apparatus, which increased by 14% to X units in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a mild decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 29%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 15% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the import price increased by 23%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
