In value terms, centrifugal cream separator exports totaled $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, recorded a noticeable decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 60%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Russia was the largest exporting country with an export of around X units, which reached 58% of total exports. Italy (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by the UK (X units) and Ukraine (X units). All these countries together took near 36% share of total exports. Slovakia (X units) and France (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, France (+108.1%), Slovakia (+75.0%), Ukraine (+7.4%), Italy (+4.0%) and the UK (+3.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, France emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +108.1% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Slovakia and France increased by +2.5 and +2.1 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the UK ($X), Italy ($X) and Russia ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together accounting for 63% of total exports. These countries were followed by Ukraine, Slovakia and France, which together accounted for a further 13%.
Slovakia, with a CAGR of +58.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, waning by -6.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a deep setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the export price increased by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (-4.0%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.
Centrifugal Cream Separator Imports
Imports in Europe
After two years of growth, overseas purchases of centrifugal cream separators decreased by -69.1% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 287%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, centrifugal cream separator imports contracted slightly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 60%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Russia dominates imports structure, reaching X units, which was near 69% of total imports in 2021. Belarus (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 7% share, followed by Montenegro (4.8%). Sweden (X units), the UK (X units), Switzerland (X units) and the Netherlands (X units) held a relatively small share of total imports.
Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of +8.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, the Netherlands (+25.2%), Sweden (+18.4%), Montenegro (+18.0%), Switzerland (+12.3%), the UK (+7.4%) and Belarus (+1.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Europe, with a CAGR of +25.2% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Russia, Montenegro and Sweden increased by +7.3, +2.8 and +2.5 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported centrifugal cream separators in Europe, comprising 42% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 7.6% share of total imports. It was followed by Switzerland, with a 4.5% share.
In Russia, centrifugal cream separator imports expanded at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (-15.0% per year) and Switzerland (+1.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, growing by 219% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a abrupt decrease. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per unit), while Montenegro ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
