The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the period from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Exports by Country
The Netherlands represented the major exporter of computing machinery and parts and accessories thereof in Europe, with the volume of exports amounting to X tons, which was approx. 44% of total exports in 2021. Germany (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X tons) and Belgium (X tons). All these countries together took near 29% share of total exports. The following exporters - the UK (X tons), Poland (X tons), France (X tons), Hungary (X tons), Italy (X tons) and Spain (X tons) - together made up 17% of total exports.
The Netherlands was also the fastest-growing in terms of the computing machinery and parts and accessories thereof exports, with a CAGR of +3.5% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Hungary (+2.4%) and Spain (+1.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Italy and Belgium experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the Czech Republic (-2.8%), Poland (-3.0%), Germany (-3.2%), France (-3.4%) and the UK (-4.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Poland, with a CAGR of +8.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by 11% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.5%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Belgium ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+12.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Europe
Computing machinery imports fell to X tons in 2021, which is down by -6.1% on the previous year. In general, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 22%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, computing machinery imports rose notably to $X in 2021. Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the Czech Republic ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
