In value terms, desktop computer exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 50%. Exports by Country
The shipments of the three major exporters of desktop computers, namely Belgium, Poland and the Netherlands, represented more than half of total export. Germany (X units) took a 7.1% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by the Czech Republic (5.6%) and the UK (5.1%). France (X units) held a little share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Belgium (with a CAGR of +36.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest desktop computer supplying countries in Europe were the Czech Republic ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and Poland ($X), with a combined 68% share of total exports.
Among the main exporting countries, Poland, with a CAGR of +47.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 37%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per unit), while Belgium ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+21.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, supplies from abroad of desktop computers increased by 28% to X units, rising for the fourth consecutive year after three years of decline. Total imports indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +61.5% against 2017 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country
The Netherlands (X units), Germany (X units), France (X units), the UK (X units), Italy (X units), Belgium (X units), Poland (X units), Spain (X units), Romania (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) represented roughly 78% of total imports in 2021. The following importers - Greece (X units), Denmark (X units) and Russia (X units) - together made up 7.1% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Greece (with a CAGR of +27.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest desktop computer importing markets in Europe were the Netherlands ($X), Germany ($X) and France ($X), together comprising 47% of total imports. These countries were followed by the UK, Italy, Russia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Denmark, Romania and Greece, which together accounted for a further 33%.
Greece, with a CAGR of +16.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, growing by 15% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the import price increased by 28%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Romania ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+11.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
