From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Poland was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Netherlands (+6.5% per year) and Germany (+4.5% per year).

From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, the largest digital data processing machine importing markets in Europe were the Netherlands ($X), Germany ($X) and the UK ($X), with a combined 51% share of total imports. These countries were followed by France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Russia, Belgium, Slovakia, Spain and Hungary, which together accounted for a further 29%.

Among the main importing countries, Slovakia, with a CAGR of +34.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, increasing by 9.8% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the import price increased by 11% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+12.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
