From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany stood at +1.6%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Italy (+3.9% per year) and Austria (+17.2% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per ton, surging by 2.8% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.6%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 9%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In 2021, Germany (X tons), distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X tons), France (X tons), Russia (X tons), Austria (X tons), Belgium (X tons), Poland (X tons), Slovakia (X tons), Sweden (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the largest importers of drive-axles with differential and non-driving axles, together mixing up 82% of total imports.
Imports into Germany increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Austria (+12.3%), Poland (+12.1%), Sweden (+6.0%), Italy (+5.4%), Spain (+4.8%) and Slovakia (+1.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Austria emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Europe, with a CAGR of +12.3% from 2012-2021. France, Russia and the Czech Republic experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Belgium (-4.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Austria (+3.5 p.p.), Poland (+3.3 p.p.), Germany (+1.6 p.p.) and Sweden (+1.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of the Czech Republic (-1.8 p.p.) and Belgium (-5.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The second position in the ranking was taken by Austria ($X), with an 8.8% share of total imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 7.1% share.
