In value terms, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven production fell modestly to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. The total output value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 33%. As a result, production reached the peak level of $X. From 2019 to 2022, production growth remained at a lower figure.

Exports in Europe
After five years of growth, shipments abroad of industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens decreased by -14.8% to X units in 2022. Total exports indicated a measured increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +71.5% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 44% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven exports dropped to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
Exports by Country
Italy represented the main exporter of industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens in Europe, with the volume of exports resulting at X units, which was approx. 53% of total exports in 2022. The UK (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 14% share, followed by Germany (8.8%). The Czech Republic (X units), Spain (X units), Belgium (X units), Lithuania (X units), Austria (X units) and France (X units) took a little share of total exports.
Exports from Italy increased at an average annual rate of +5.9% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Spain (+27.2%), Belgium (+15.2%), the UK (+9.3%), France (+2.4%) and Germany (+1.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Spain emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +27.2% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Lithuania (-1.6%), the Czech Republic (-5.3%) and Austria (-12.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Italy, the UK, Spain and Belgium increased by +12, +6.1, +3.3 and +2.5 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and France ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, with a combined 68% share of total exports. Austria, the Czech Republic, the UK, Spain, Lithuania and Belgium lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Belgium, with a CAGR of +9.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 11% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a slight reduction. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the UK ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+12.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Industrial, Laboratory or Bakery Ovens
Imports in Europe
In 2022, supplies from abroad of industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens decreased by -15% to X units for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, posted a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 52% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced sharply in the following year.
In value terms, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven imports fell to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 30% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
The UK (X units) and Russia (X units) represented roughly 48% of total imports in 2022. Spain (X units) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a 13% share, followed by Belgium (9.1%). Italy (X units), France (X units), the Netherlands (X units), Poland (X units), Switzerland (X units), Germany (X units) and Romania (X units) held a minor share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of +25.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens in Europe, comprising 18% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Germany ($X), with an 8.3% share of total imports. It was followed by France, with an 8.2% share.
In Russia, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven imports decreased by an average annual rate of -2.8% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Germany (+0.8% per year) and France (-1.5% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 6.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the import price increased by 20% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2016 to 2022, the import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the UK ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
