In 2022, the Europe electric lamp market decreased by X% to $X, falling for the third consecutive year after three years of growth. Over the period under review, consumption showed a slight setback. The shipments of the four major exporters of electric lamps, namely France, Poland, Germany and Russia, represented more than half of total export. The following exporters - Spain (X units), Hungary (X units), Belarus (X units), the Netherlands (X units), the UK (X units), Romania (X units) and Belgium (X units) - together made up X% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Russia (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, surging by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Europe

In 2022, electric lamp imports in Europe fell to X units, with a decrease of X% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the import price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
