In value terms, electric oven and cooker production reached $X in 2022 estimated in export price. The total output value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the production volume increased by 19% against the previous year. As a result, production reached the peak level of $X. From 2021 to 2022, production growth failed to regain momentum.

Exports in Europe

In 2022, after ten years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters, when their volume decreased by -20.4% to X units. Total exports indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 15%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports dropped to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +50.6% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 24% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.

The shipments of the six major exporters of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters, namely Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Slovenia, represented more than two-thirds of total export. France (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Austria (X units), Romania (X units), Slovakia (X units), Sweden (X units) and Russia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Slovakia (with a CAGR of +17.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest electric oven and cooker supplier in Europe, comprising 30% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a 13% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany totaled +4.7%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+4.3% per year) and Italy (+0.8% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, rising by 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($X per unit), while the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports in Europe

In 2022, after six years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters, when their volume decreased by -15.9% to X units. Total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +71.3% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 21%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker imports shrank to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +58.0% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 25% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then declined in the following year.

Imports by Country

The countries with the highest levels of electric oven and cooker imports in 2022 were Germany (X units), France (X units), Russia (X units), the Netherlands (X units) and the UK (X units), together resulting at 56% of total import. It was distantly followed by Italy (X units), Spain (X units) and Poland (X units), together constituting a 16% share of total imports. The Czech Republic (X units), Belgium (X units), Sweden (X units), Greece (X units) and Ukraine (X units) held a relatively small share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Germany (with a CAGR of +13.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X), the UK ($X) and France ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together comprising 37% of total imports. Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Greece and Ukraine lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 40%.

Among the main importing countries, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +11.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 6.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a slight curtailment. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($X per unit), while Ukraine ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
