In 2021, Germany (X tons) was the key exporter of epoxide resins, creating 44% of total exports. The Netherlands (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 16% share, followed by the Czech Republic (9.6%), Switzerland (7.8%) and Italy (6.3%). The following exporters - Spain (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) - together made up 8.4% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to epoxide resin exports from Germany stood at +3.1%. At the same time, the Czech Republic (+7.6%) and Italy (+4.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Czech Republic emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +7.6% from 2012-2021. Switzerland experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Poland (-1.2%), the Netherlands (-3.1%), Spain (-3.2%) and Belgium (-7.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the period from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Total imports indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last nine-year period.
