Exports by Country
Germany (X units) and Italy (X units) dominates exports structure, together making up 82% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the UK (X units), making up a 6.3% share of total exports. Slovakia (X units) took a little share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Slovakia (with a CAGR of +89.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest plastic extruder supplier in Europe, comprising 60% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 26% share of total exports. It was followed by Slovakia, with a 1.5% share.
In Germany, plastic extruder exports expanded at an average annual rate of +1.2% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Italy (-0.7% per year) and Slovakia (+40.7% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, which is down by -4.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by 55%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the UK ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (-12.3%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Europe
In 2021, overseas purchases of extruders for working rubber or plastics increased by 20% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. In general, imports continue to indicate a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 97% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, plastic extruder imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a notable expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 192% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
The purchases of the twelve major importers of extruders for working rubber or plastics, namely the UK, Poland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Russia, Romania, France, Ukraine, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, represented more than two-thirds of total import.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Italy (with a CAGR of +28.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported extruders for working rubber or plastics in Europe, comprising 31% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 9.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (+16.8% per year) and Germany (+7.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Europe amounted to $X per unit, approximately reflecting the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the import price increased by 48%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit.
