These countries were followed by France, Italy, the UK, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, which together accounted for a further 44%.
The Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +9.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while the Czech Republic ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

These countries were followed by Germany, Poland, Portugal, the UK, Denmark, Spain, Romania and Ireland, which together accounted for a further 37%.
Ireland, with a CAGR of +9.5%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, surging by 8.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
