In 2021, Spain (X tons), Germany (X tons), France (X tons), Italy (X tons), Slovakia (X tons), Norway (X tons), the UK (X tons), Poland (X tons), Russia (X tons), Romania (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) represented the key importer of iron or steel flexible tubing in Europe, committing 76% of total import. Austria (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Slovakia (with a CAGR of +14.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest metal flexible tubing importing markets in Europe were Germany ($X), France ($X) and Spain ($X), together accounting for 36% of total imports. Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Romania and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 41%.

Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
